"Innovations in Canadian Resume Strategy"

March 6, 2013 (first Wednesday of the month)
1 – 2 p.m. EST

No charge to attend; but you must be a Professional Member of the Career Professionals of Canada. *

Resumes are constantly evolving - just 10 years ago we faxed our resumes or walked them into an employer’s office.

Never has it been more important to have a resume that tells a well-balanced and articulate career story. With online tools like LinkedIn and innovations like Infographics, video resumes, and QR codes how do we ensure we are offering our clients the most innovative resumes in the market?

Consider these questions for the call:
  • How important are design, format, strategy, grammar & spelling in your resume offering?
  • Where do you find inspiration and/or innovation in your resume writing practice?
  • What do you do to ensure your skills are current?
  • What recommendations might you make to help your colleagues stay current and up-to-date with their skills?
  • What are some of the best practices in the resume industry?
* A benefit of membership in the Career Professionals of Canada, the Professional Member Tele-Networking session is open to Professional Members of the association only. Tele-networking is a conference call between Professionals Members of Career Professionals of Canada. Each session is delivered in a teleconference format using a bridge telephone line. If you have a phone, you have everything that you need to join the class.

Session topics are selected and outlined in advance with a series of 5 related questions to get participants “brainstorming.” If you are a Professional Member of the Career Professionals of Canada, you are invited to join your colleagues to openly discuss the given topic in a round-table format – asking questions and sharing ideas. Session registration for PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS is free. Depending on your location, long distance charges may apply. Participants are encouraged to register early to reserve their spot.
